OK. I know this is the way everyone starts their blog, so don't judge me, but I really didn't anticipate doing one of these things. Those of you who know me well are probably aware of my sub par technological abilities, so I thought I just didn't want to mess with having to do one more thing on the computer. However, the more I thought about it, the better idea it seemed. So, here goes nada...
I am SO excited to be spending the semester in Madrid with a Vanderbilt study abroad program. I'll be studying Spanish (my major), making lots of Spanish amigos, restaurant-hopping, making a scene in Madrid, gallivanting around Europe when I can, etc., etc.
The purpose of this blog will be two-fold. One, it will serve as an efficient method for me to keep up with friends and family during my semester abroad. Two, it'll be a chance for me to process and digest everything that I'm experiencing. I hope it won't be too terribly boring or weird.
Who knows...maybe I'll find this is way too much trouble and I'll turn out to be a pretty unsuccessful blogger. Or maybe I'll get as weirdly obsessed with it as so many people seem to be. Regardless, I hope this will give everyone a glimpse of what I've been up to during what I expect to be some of the most exciting few months of my life.
